Corner Victory Unworthy Desires [James 4:1-10] Anyone who is affected with the habit of drinking will indeed like to have more of it over and over again, this is true with any type of addiction; nevertheless it will destroy his relationship with God and his fellowbeings leaving him unsatisfied. The only solution for him is the delieverance from such evil passions, the same is the true fact or character of a man who is greedy for money or is filled with the lust of this world for a living, thus these things will never bring a permenant satisfication to the one who craves for it so lert us see the answers of God to these problems. Quarreling, violence and lust of the flesh are caused by unworthy desires according to the epistle of James 4:1-4, what isd the cause of these quarrelsamongst the belivers? The simple reason to it is the craveness to have what they don’t have. The result is if the people don’t get what they’ve craved for this would led them to not having peace in their minds, and would intend them to have war with others; these are the unworthy desires which inturn causes strife, discord and feud. Unworthy desires assume in many forms, physical desires symbolize as in: greed for money and material things, passion for liquor, narcotics, lustful thinking are the solid examples. Wanting prestige, honor and praise of a man all these are the unworthy desires that a human want to achieve in this pershing world, whenever a person wants self exaltation rather thatn God’s glory and honor his desire is unworthy, when a person cannot fulfill his desire, dissatisfication and utter frustration originates leading to anger and hatred, this sin is relevant to murder (1st John 3:15 and 16), “whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer and ye know trhat no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him, we love God because He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down ou lives for the brethren”.
